Joshua Otis Turner (November 20, 1977) is a country and gospel musician born in Hannah, South Carolina. His career-making deal with MCA Nashville Records began in 2003. Released as the title song to his debut album, "Long Black Train" became a hit the same year it was released.
Turner's second full-length album, titled Your Man, was released in the early months of 2006. Written by Jace Everett, Chris DuBois, and Chris Stapleton, "Your Man" was the album's lead single released in the latter half of 2005.
Slowly but surely, "Your Man" reached the top of the charts in early 2006. Four weeks after its first release, the RIAA certified this song as Gold, and another six months later, it was certified Platinum.
Preview singles "Deep South" and "Where the Girls Are" were released on February 23, 2017, before the full album dropped on March 10, 2017. With the release of Deep South, Turner achieved his third consecutive No. 1 album on the US Top Country Albums Chart.
Turner started working on the gospel music album after he released Deep South. Titled I Serve a Savior, his seventh studio album was made public on October 26, 2018.
