Since the band's debut in 2013, JSB has provided listeners with original tales told via their trademark Black Dirt Country Rock style. As Stamm puts it, this is "a nod to our Midwestern roots, as well as the Red Dirt music scene, which has had a big influence on our music." Stamm has the guts and stage presence to open for Chris Knight, Shane Smith and the Saints, Tyler Childers, Whiskey Myers, Charles Wesley Godwin, and more, thanks to his experience performing in dive bars in the middle of nowhere and being voted "Emerging Artist of the Year" at Peacemaker Fest 2023.
Fans will recognize the rough-hewn outlaw vibe from his early days in Fort Smith, an EP created in collaboration with Peacemaker Fest that is best enjoyed with the windows down. This is still the energy Joe brings to every performance.
The band's third studio album, recorded and produced at Nashville's Treasure Isle Studios, has introspective narratives set to a country-rock backing. Wild Man has classic rock-influenced riffs from lead guitarist Dave Glover. They'll also hear the bolstering bass lines of Bruce Moser and the forceful drum skills of Tim Kramp. What makes this record stand out is the words and how they sound in Stamm's larger-than-life voice.
