Jimmie Allen Information
James Edward Allen (June 18, 1986) is an American country music songwriter and singer. He is originally from Milton, Delaware, but in 2007 moved to Nashville, Tennessee. During his initial years in Nashville, Allen faced severe poverty. He got an audition for America's Got Talent, but unfortunately, did not make it the cut. Later, Allen also got an audition for the tenth season of American Idol but again faced bad luck before the live voting rounds. However, during his time on American Idol, Allen performed with Colton Dixon.
Allen started his musical career by signing a publishing deal with Wide Open Music in 2016. He released a self-titled debut EP, which was produced by Bowers. "Blue Jean Baby" was a track taken from the EP, which was added to Spotify's "United States Viral 50 chart." "Best Shot" was the first official single by Allen, which was released in 2018. The track has successfully made it to the Country Airplay, Hot Country Songs, and Billboard Hot 100 charts.
Mercury Lane was the debut album by Allen that came out in October 2018. Some of the hit singles included in this album are "Best Shot," "Make Me Want To," and a few more. He also recorded a cover of Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's "Shallow" in May 2019.
Jimmie Allen – EP is the only EP released by Allen in 2018. Allen got nominated for CMT Music Awards 2019 for the category of Breakthrough Video of the Year.
