Jessie Ellen Cornish (March 27, 1988) is an English singer. She was born in Redbridge, London. When Jessie J's debut single "Do It Like a Dude" was released after she signed with Republic Records, she quickly rose to fame. After the success of her first single, "Price Tag," which reached number one in the UK and nineteen other countries, she released her debut studio album, Who You Are (2011), which reached position two on the UK album charts.
Jessie J became the first British female artist to have 6 top-ten singles from a single studio album with "Nobody's Perfect," "Who You Are," "Domino," and "Laserlight," all of which climbed within the top ten on the UK Singles Chart. In addition to being her second UK number-one single, "Domino" also reached number six on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Jessie J performed in front of Buckingham Palace for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert in June and at the 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony in London on August 12. The tracks "Wild" and "It's My Party" reached the top five on the UK Tracks Chart from her 2013 album Alive. Sweet Talker (2014) was her third studio album, and its lead single, "Bang Bang," was a huge success internationally.
