Jessica Vosk Information
Jessica Vosk (September 30, 1983) is an American singer and actress known for her work in musical theater. Vosk was born and raised in Clinton, New Jersey. She started her career by performing in community theater at a very young age. Her father was also a part of a band, and he also taught Vosk how to sing. She completed her graduation from North Hunterdon High School and then began pursuing a degree in musical theater at The Hartt School in West Hartford, Connecticut. She soon transferred to Montclair State University.
In 2009, Vosk got a breakthrough when she played as a vocalist for Kristina’s live concert. It was written by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus of ABBA. In 2014, she made her Broadway debut in Jason Robert Brown’s Bridges of Madison County. She then went to Finding Neverland in the original Broadway production. Vosk performed as Anita in the 2014 San Francisco Symphony’s live recording of the West Side Story score. It was also nominated for a Grammy award.
On August 10, 2018, Vosk released her debut album entitled, Wild and Free. The album was a mix of pop and musical theater. It included songs by Pasek and Paul, Sia, Prince, Jason Robert Brown, and Sara Bareilles. The album reached number 29 on the Billboard Chart for Independent Artists and number 12 for Heatseekers. In 2020, Vosk released an EP entitled, A Very CoCo Christmas. It was released through Vosky Records.
