Ishi Information
Ishi is an American high energy electronic band that originated from Dallas, TX. The group was initiated in 2008 as an experiment between a few friends. The music of Ishi is classified as soul, funk, folk, electro, and techno house. JT Mudd and Brad Dale are the two founding members of the band who set out to form a sound to redefine their voices. With the vision of blending the organic instrumentation of traditional folk music with the classic, soulful story-telling, Ishi began an unforgettable journey of sound.
Ishi released its debut album entitled Through the Trees in May 2010. It was followed by another album named Digital Wounds in April 2013. In the same year, the band released an EP entitled Juno on September 16th. Some hit songs in the EP are “Classic Lips” and “Bring the Thunder.” Ishi has planned to lead the industry by using their unique voices to improve the lives of those suffering from cognitive diseases. Juno EP was meant to benefit non-profit Music Is Our Weapon. The company’s mission is to provide personalized music programs for those fighting with PTSD, autism, parkinson’s, alzheimer’s, and dementia.
The Ishi’s ability to walk the line between a multi-sensory live experience and an ambitious studio act let the group members engage with their audience extensively. The group flawlessly creates a unique environment of awareness, love, mysticism, and acceptance every night.
