Isaac Dunbar (March 17, 2003) is an alternative pop singer-songwriter. He is from Barnstable, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Dunbar is gay. His father is Liberian and his mother Italian. His music style is defined as alternative and pop. Dunbar started to make music when he was only nine. He began creating EDM music. Being a big Lady Gaga fan, Dunbar got even more inspired to learn music production. He discovered the music of Madeon, who was one of the producers working on Gaga's Artpop. He started learning synths and music theory through YouTube tutorials as well as reproducing songs on Artpop.
One of the tracks by Dunbar entitled “Pharmacy” got reposted on October 31, 2017, by the blog We Are Going, Solo. This drew better attention to his work. His tracks "Freshman Year" that debuted on The Fader on October 2, 2018, along with "Blonde," gained further fame. An additional boost was enjoyed by Dunbar when "Pharmacy" was featured on Beats 1 radio show by Zane Lowe.
Dunbar released his debut EP entitled Balloons didn't Float Here in July 2019. Complex premiered his single "Ferrari." In the fall of the same year, he toured with Girl in Red. Later, in November, Dunbar appeared on the PUSH Live concert series by MTV. He got signed to RCA Records in October 2019 and made a debut on the label entitled Isaac's Insects, for April 2020. The track was released in January 2020. Some of his other notable singles include "Mime," "Onion Boy," "Blonde," and a few more.
