Singer and songwriter Ian Noe was born in Beattyville, Kentucky, in the United States on May 9, 1990. Dave Cobb, who plays guitar on the album, served as producer for Noe's debut studio album, Between the Country. The album also features Adam Gardner, who plays bass and organ piano.
Don't Let the Morning Bring Ya Down, an original song by Ian Noe, earned him the first award at the Appalachian Starsearch competition held in Hazard, Kentucky, in 2007. His work addresses mortality, addiction, unrequited love, and monetary hardship.
In a video featuring Jason Momoa, Noe can be seen performing a few of his songs, and in 2019, he opened for John Prine on tour in Germany, Sweden, and Norway. In addition, Son Volt, Jamestown Revival, and Blackberry Smoke have all benefited from Noe's sponsorship. In June 2019, he was featured as the cover image for the Fresh Folk playlist on Spotify.
