Hunxho, an Atlanta rapper, uses silky instrumentals and Auto-Tuned melodies to lighten his words, which are dark and deal with street difficulties. After transitioning from self-releasing mixtapes to collaborating with major artists, he included 21 Savage and NoCap on his 2022 and 2023 albums, Street Poetry and 22, distributed by 300 Entertainment. For Her, his second album from 2023, was his first to top the Billboard 200.
Hunxho is a rap artist who started playing basketball in high school in Greensboro, North Carolina. He went to college in Colorado and settled in Atlanta to pursue his music career. Around 2017, he began to write songs, and by 2020, he had released many albums and mixtapes, including True Story (2018) and Street Poet (2020). After his 2021 single "Let's Get It" received enough attention to warrant a remix by 21 Savage, Hunxho teamed up with 300 Entertainment for his 2022 album Street Poetry.
Hunxho released the EP XHOSEN in 2022, only a few months after the album's release. His first Atlanta address was 2200 2nd Ave., and he was 22 years old when he got his recording deal; all of these factors contributed to the album's title, "22," which he released in April 2023. The Grizzley-featured song "Uh Huh" was an album track. Later in the year, two additional releases arrived: the 4-song EP 4 Days in LA and the 12-song mixtape For Her.
