The National Symphony Orchestra presents a special holiday concert series called A Holiday Pops! In this holiday spectacular, orchestra conductor Steven Reineke accompanies singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson as she performs various seasonal songs. Listen as the famous pop star performs new arrangements of Christmas songs and leads sing-alongs.
Regarding popular music, Steven Reineke is one of the best conductors around. He leads the pop concerts of the National Symphony, Houston Symphony, and Toronto Symphony Orchestras, in addition to being the musical director of The New York Pops.
A native New Yorker, Ingrid Michaelson shot to popularity with the top 50 hits "Girls Chase Boys" and "The Way I Am" on Billboard's Hot 100. She received a nomination for an Emmy in 2020 for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for her song "Build It Up," which she composed for the show Little Fires Everywhere. A Holiday Pops! Features the artist performing holiday favorites from Ingrid Michaelson's Songs for the Season.
