The Hershey Symphony Orchestra has serenaded music enthusiasts in Central Pennsylvania for 55 years. The Hershey Symphony is an orchestra of professional musicians who donate their time and skills so locals can have a memorable cultural experience.
The orchestra's 80 musicians hail from around Eastern and Central Pennsylvania, yet they all converge in Hershey to play together. The season comprises three masterworks concerts, three pop concerts, a fundraising gala, and numerous special performances at community places. Rehearsals are held regularly, and performances take place throughout the year.
Programs feature works spanning a wide range of musical eras and genres, from the classical to the romantic, the baroque to the contemporary, the symphonic to the Broadway, and so on. The orchestra has showcased local talent by inviting numerous soloists and ensembles to perform with them.
