Heat Speak Information
Dario Ré, a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, fronts the indie band Heat Speak. His music is a unique blend of folk, chamber pop, and global fusion, with his ardent poetry performed in English and French.
Spokane, Washington, is a burgeoning music hub, and its first collaborations with violinist Phil Pintor began that year. Dario Ré started rounding up musicians in 2016 to make the album Aspen Artichoke, released independently in 2017. After its release, Ré enlisted the help of a revolving cast of musicians to play shows across the Pacific Northwest; several of these musicians eventually came together in 2018 to form the band Heat Speak.
Heat Speak was nominated for a Bartlett Award as Best Local Folk Band/Artist in 2019 after performing over 60 live gigs in the Pacific Northwest. Released in September 2020, To Love Wind was followed by Saint Children in the summer of 2023.
