Hardwell Information
Robert van de Corput (January 7, 1988) is a Dutch music producer and DJ. He was born in Breda, North Brabant. He is professionally known by his stage name, Hardwell. In 2013 and 2014, readers of DJ Mag ranked him as the best DJ in the world. DJ Mag put him at #43 on their list of the top 100 DJs that year (2022). He is well-known for performing at major music festivals such as Ultra, Sunburn, and Tomorrowland.
In 2009, his bootleg of "Show Me Love vs. Be" shot him to fame. In 2010, he started his record label Revealed Recordings; in 2011, he started his radio show and podcast Hardwell On Air. He has also distributed two documentaries and ten compilation albums under his label. On January 23, 2015, he dropped his first full-length studio album, United We Are.
He stopped touring permanently on September 7, 2018, citing wanting to devote more time to family. He returned to the electronic dance music industry on March 27, 2022, when he performed the last set of his new album Rebels Never Die at Ultra Miami's mainstage. After rising to the top of DJ Mag's charts with his electronic dance music (EDM) in 2013 and 2014, Hardwell reinvented himself as a big-room techno DJ in the 2020s. 2015 Hardwell still used his parents' Breda home as a studio. Hardwell debuted his current studio on January 20, 2015. Jan Morel, a studio designer, was responsible for the design.
