Grent Perez (December 4, 2001) is a Filipino-Australian singer and songwriter born in Sydney, Australia. He first shared his father's taste in The Eagles, The Beatles, and Queen before discovering artists like Musiq Soulchild. At 5, Perez began attracting an online following with his guitar and singing videos on YouTube. Perez debuted his channel on the video-sharing website at the end of 2013. Original songs "Wait for You," "Dreams," and "In My Heart" were released by Perez in 2020 and featured on his 2021 EP Demo(s) About Love.
Grentperez issued three EPs and a "When Christmas Comes Again" holiday single in 2022. When We Were Younger, Grentperez's fourth extended play was released in June 2023. The seven-song cycle, When We Were Younger, is an ode to simpler times. In September 2023, Grentperez released "Op Shop Lover" with Lime Cordiale.
Touring Australia and New Zealand in September and October 2023, Grentperez was the support act for headliner Rex Orange County in Wellington, Auckland, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth. Even in Tokyo and Manila, he was the show's opener. Grentperez's "Christmas Starts Tonight" holiday single dropped that year in November.
