Goodnight Texas Information
Goodnight, Texas is an American folk rock band. The current lineup of the group consists of Avi Vinocur, Patrick Dyer Wolf, Scott Padden, Adam Nash, Chris Sugiura, and Website. Tallest Man Records published the group's self-titled debut album on October 2, 2012. The band personally handed CD copies of their debut album to every resident of Goodnight a day before its worldwide release.
The album was well received by critics and music bloggers, who drew comparisons to artists as varied as Levon Helm, Bruce Springsteen, Elliott Smith, and Punch Brothers. In August of 2012, American Songwriter was the first to debut their tune, "Jesse Got Trapped in a Coal Mine." Soon after, BAMM.TV had the world premiere of a performance of the song.
Goodnight, Texas performed the National Anthem before the San Francisco Giants' game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on April 26, 2017. For the 2018 "Carry The West" global ad campaign for Coors Banquet beer, actor Sam Elliott provided the voiceover for the song "The Railroad" by the band. Dead Man Talking, produced by AudioBoom, features "The Railroad" by Goodnight, Texas, as its theme tune.
On the opening night of the Chase Center in San Francisco on September 6, 2019, Vinocur sang backing vocals for Metallica during their "S&M2" performances with the San Francisco Symphony.
