Geneva Lewis Information
Geneva Lewis (1998/1999) is a New Zealand-based violinist. She is currently residing in the United States. She was born in Auckland, New Zealand. Lewis is the son of a professional tennis player, Chris Lewis. She started to play piano at the age of three. She is located in Irvine and studying at Colburn Community School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles alongside Aimee Kreston. Kreston has taught Lewis since she was just seven years old.
In May 2015, Lewis won the gold medal at the Fischoff in her division as a member of the Icendium Quartet. She also won the Grand Prize in the ENKOR Competition. In 2014, Lewis competed the Menuhin competition.
Lewis started playing on a 1991 Terry Borman violin which the Doublestop Foundation loaned. At the time, she was studying alongside the famous pedagogue and violinist Miriam Fried at the New England Conservatory of Music. She serves Atlantic Symphony Orchestra as acting concertmaster.
