G Flip Information
Georgia Claire Flipo, a.k.a G Flip, is an Australian musician, drummer, producer, singer, and songwriter. He was born in St. Kilda, Victoria. A 2011 Star of the Sea College graduate in Brighton, Victoria, Flipo had his elementary education at Our Lady of the Assumption Elementary School (OLA) near Cheltenham. Even though Flipo is now a multi-instrumentalist, drums have always been a significant element of their composition process.
They premiered their debut single "About You" on Triple J on the same day it was published by Triple J Unearthed in February of 2018. On March 2, 2018, the song was released to the public. Their iPhone-shot music video was included in YouTube's New Music Playlist, while the track itself was voted "Best New Track" by Pitchfork. Released in May of 2018, "Killing My Time" is Flipo's follow-up single.
While their song "About You" was featured in Season 2, Episode 10 of The Bold Type, Flipo played "Proud Mary" and "Blame It on the Boogie" at the Sydney Opera House for ABC's "The Night is Yours" New Year's Eve Celebration 2018. Both "About You" and "Killing My Time" charted in the top 60 of Triple J's Hottest 100 for 2018 in January of this year.
