G-Dragon, born Kwon Ji-yong in 1988, is a South Korean rapper, singer, and fashion icon. He rose to prominence as the leader of the K-pop group Big Bang, which debuted in 2006. His solo career began in 2009 when he released his debut album, Heartbreaker. Being the pioneer of blending hip-hop, pop, and R&B, G-Dragon became a fashion guru and music trendsetter. His daring fashions and innovative music videos turned him into an international superstar and contributed to the worldwide emergence of K-pop.
Throughout his career, G-Dragon has produced successful hits such as "Crooked", "That XX", and "Untitled". He has also collaborated with foreign artists like Missy Elliott, Skrillex, and Diplo. In addition to music, G-Dragon has played an influential part in fashion, where he has been a trendsetter and has attended major fashion shows.
In 2025, G-Dragon put out his long-awaited album, Übermensch. To promote the album, he launched his Übermensch World tour, which began in March.
