Frankie J Information
Francisco Javier Bautista Jr. (December 7, 1978) is a Mexican-American singer and songwriter. He is professionally known as Frankie J. He was also a member of the Kumbia Kings musical ensemble. Born in Mexico, he was raised in San Diego before launching his career as a freestyle artist in the late 1990s under the moniker Frankie Boy. After that, he joined the Kumbia Kings before resuming his solo career. What's a Man to Do, Frankie J's solo first album, was released in 2003 and followed more English and Spanish language albums.
On March 22, 2005, he released his second album, The One. The Top40 singles "How To Deal" and "More Than Words" were followed by the number 3 Billboard Hot 100 success "Obsession (No Es Amor)" featuring rapper Baby Bash. In October, the album was re-released on DualDisc to coincide with the release of "More Than Words." On October 17, 2006, Frankie's third English-language album, Priceless, was released. On the Billboard 200, it debuted at number 30.
On MTV's My Super Sweet 16, Frankie came as a famous guest at Marissa Mishelle's 16th birthday celebration. In 2011, he landed the role of mechanic Ramon on the mun2 television series RPM Miami. For his album Faith, Hope, and Amor, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album in 2013.
