The fantastic tunes of the folk era are brought to life by the Folk-Legacy Trio, which features George Grove, Rick Dougherty, and Jerry Siggins, all of whom are accomplished musicians. Since the beginning of the wonderful Folk Era, these three gentlemen have been actively involved in the music of that era. Jerry performed with the world-famous Dapper Dans barbershop quartet at the Disneyland theme parks in California, Florida, and Japan.
Before joining the famed doo-wop group The Diamonds, he spent a decade singing with a Celtic band. The Diamonds were a ground-breaking group that recorded Little Darlin and The Stroll, a favorite on American Bandstand. Rick has written dozens of songs, arranged for vocal groups, and even directed opera (only under duress, he says). He has hit the international stages first as Glenn Yarbrough's replacement in The Limeliters for fourteen years and later by adding his ringing tenor voice to The Kingston Trio for twelve years. He has also directed opera.
After starting his career as a background picker at the Grand Ole Opry, George nearly immediately transitioned into a career as a banjoist extraordinaire with The Kingston Trio. This profession lasted for forty-one years.
