Michael Gold, aka Enamour, grew up not far from Washington, DC, a place widely acknowledged as the unofficial cultural epicenter of electronic music in the United States thanks to landmarks like Flash and U Street Music Hall and legendary artists like Sharam and Dubfire. Gold developed an early appreciation for music on the piano long before he was legally allowed to attend a nightclub. A few years later, his interest shifted to the guitar, then jazz, then alternative, and finally dance, but his love of music remained constant.
Particularly after he started DJing open format in DC, people took note of his musical curiosity. Curious and self-taught, he began experimenting with Reason and Ableton after being asked by peers to learn how to edit songs together.
