Elsie Fest Information
Darren Criss, Ricky Rollins, Lea Michele, and Jordan Roth co-founded and produced Elsie Fest, "New York City's first outdoor music festival showcasing tunes from the stage and film," according to the website for the event. The first Elsie Fest took place on September 27, 2015, at JBL Live at Pier 97 in New York City. BroadwayCares/Equity Fights AIDS profited from a share of the revenues.
Lea Salonga, Team Starkid, Seth Rudetsky, Laura Osnes, Aaron Tveit, Leslie Odom Jr., and Darren Criss were the 2015 cast members. On September 5, 2016, the Ford Amphitheatre in Coney Island, New York, hosted the second annual Elsie Fest. Megan Hilty, Tituss Burgess, Todrick Hall, Lena Hall, Rebel and a Basketcase, Jason Robert Brown, Corey Cott, Pasek and Paul, Julie James, Cynthia Erivo, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, and Liz Callaway were among the performers.
Elsie Fest made its third appearance on Central Park's summer stage on October 8, 2017, before gathering about 4,000 people. Alan Cumming, Lea Michele, Ingrid Michaelson, Norm Lewis, Aulii Cravalho, Keala Settle, The Band's Visit, and Miss Saigon were among the performers on the bill.
