Electric Guest Information
Electric Guest is an American band. The current lineup consists of Reese Richardson (guitar and keyboard), Luke Top (bass guitar), Matthew "Cornbread" Compton (drums), and Asa Taccone (instrumentals and vocals). In April 2012, they appeared on a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman, where they performed their single "This Head I Hold. " They have also appeared on the U.S. editions of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and Conan. They have performed on BBC sessions with Lauren Laverne, Dermot O'Leary, and Rob da Bank in the United Kingdom.
Mondo, Electric Guest's debut album, was released in April. The record heavily draws on classic sounds of the '70s and '80s. After a year of chatting and jamming with Asa Taccone, a friend's younger brother, Burton co-produced Electric Guest's debut album Mondo. Taccone eventually relocated to Los Angeles, occupying the space vacated by Burton. Their friendship became stronger, and they eventually worked together on Mondo.
In addition to playing drums on Rodes Rollins' "Wes Come Back" (from their 2017 debut EP Young Adult) and "Mystery Man," Matthew Compton has contributed to the recordings of other artists (2018).
