Ela Minus Information
Ela Minus (February 11, 1990) is a Colombian singer, drummer, producer of techno-pop music, and songwriter. She was born in Bogota, Colombia. Ela Minus uses analog hardware synthesizers only to record, write, compose, and even performing live. She started music at the age of twelve while the drummer of a hard-core band named Raton Perez. She spent more than ten years with the band. Ela Minus took education in Boston at the Berklee College of Music. There she gained a double major in synthesizer design and jazz drums.
Ela Minus received the Ela Minus project when she settled in Brooklyn after completing her studies. It was her solo project, but before concentrating on this, she was a member of the Balancer band. Ela Minus signed a record deal with Domino Records in 2019. The iconic record label of Britain released the debut album for Ela Minus in 2020 entitled Acts of Rebellion. The album’s debut single was “They told us it was hard, but they were wrong.” Other singles of the album included “Dominique,” “Heaven is nobody’s,” and “Megapunk.”
Ela Minus’ EPs include First Words (2015), Grow (2016), and Adapt (2017). Other notable singles include “Ceremony,” “Jacinto,” “Juan Sant,” and “Kiddo.”
