Adam George Dyment (August 7, 1981) is better known by his stage name Duke Dumont. He is a British DJ and is from Harrow, England. His music style is described as house electronica. The early career of Duke was mentored by Switch (producer to Beyoncé, M.I.A., Santigold). He also made his name remixing pop songs such as Mystery Jet’s "Two Doors Down," Bat for Lashes' "Daniel," Lily Allen's "The Fear," and a few more.
The first EP by Duke was released in March 2007 by the name Regality EP for Turbo Recordings. It was followed by another EP, The Dominion Dubs EP in August 2008. He also mixed the 2010 FabricLive.51 compilation album for Fabric. Some of the other releases by Duke are For Club Play Only Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, EP1, Blasé Boys Club Pt. 1, For Club Play Only Pt. 4, and many more.
Duke released several hit singles throughout his career such as "Need U (100%)", "I Got U," "Won't Look Back," "The Giver (Reprise)," "Ocean Drive," "Be Here," "Real Life," "Runway," "Red Light Green Light," and a few more. Duke has also remixed several songs, among which many charted in the United Kingdom. One of his tracks entitled "Need U (100%)" got nominated for the category of "Best Dance Recording" for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.
"Yes Yes, Y'all" by Mekon, "Bathroom Gurgle" by Late of the Pier, "Because of You" by Skunk Anansie, "Two Doors Down" by Mystery Jets, "Party's Over Los Angeles" by ZZT, and many others are some hit remixes done by Duke.
