Dove Olivia Cameron (January 15, 1996) is an American singer and actress. She was born in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Cameron began acting in Community Theater at Bainbridge Performing Arts at eight. At fourteen, her family moved to Los Angeles, California, and she joined Burbank High School's National Championship Show Choir. Cameron has indicated that she is of French ancestry and knows the language.
Cameron portrayed Young Cosette in the 2007 Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA) stage production of Les Misérables and Mary in the 2008 BPA production of The Secret Garden. Cameron became part of a Disney Channel comedy series called Bits and Pieces in 2012, in which she will play the part of Alanna. Bits and Pieces were retooled into Liv and Maddie shortly after recording the pilot, with Cameron playing the dual lead roles of Liv and Maddie Rooney.
As a promotional single, Cameron released a cover of Imagine Dragons' "On Top of the World" on August 27, 2013. Walt Disney Records released "Better In Stereo" as a single on October 15, 2013. Cameron's first No. 1 success, "Better In Stereo," debuted at No. 21 on the Billboard Kid Digital Songs list before peaking at No. 1. Cameron stated in February 2014 that recording for her debut studio album had begun.
