Dan Tyminski Band Information
Daniel John Tyminski (June 20, 1967) is an American bluegrass vocalist, composer, and instrumentalist. He is from Rutland, Vermont. Tyminski is a member of Alison Krauss's band named Union Station. He is popular for owning his very own band named the Dan Tyminski Band. The band constitutes of Tyminski on guitar, Ron Stewart on banjo, Justin Moses on fiddle and dobro, Adam Steffey on mandolin, and Barry Bales on upright bass.
“Wheels” was the first album released by the bluegrass band, the Dan Tyminski Band, in June 2008. The Martin Guitar Company issued a D28 Dreadnought acoustic guitar in recognition of Dan's life, which he devoted to playing bluegrass along with old-time classic music. This guitar was issued in July 2009.
Some of the popular discographies released by Tyminski (as a solo artist and with his band) are; Green Mountain Bluegrass 1985, Carry Me Across the Mountain June 27, 2000, Southern Gothic October 20, 2017, and a few more. Three of the solo singles released by him are "Man of Constant Sorrow” (featured in the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou?), "Hey Brother," "Bloodline," and "Southern Gothic."
Daniel John Tyminski has won 14 Grammy Awards from 18 nominations as a solo and collaborative artist, and 2001 CMA award for best single. He is expected to tour in the coming months along with his bluegrass band, the Dan Tyminski Band. He was also named as the Male Vocalist of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association four times. A new bluegrass album is expected from Tyminski along with the Dan Tyminski Band.
