Daisy the Great is an indie-pop band that consists of Brianna Archer, Sophia Sagan-Gutherz, Justin Danforth, Barnardo Ochoa, Mina Walker, and Kelley Nicole Dugan. Walker and Dugan met at New York University and formed the band. Kelley Nicole Dugan and Mina Walker met at NYU Tisch. They started working together on a musical about two folk musician buskers who take on the persona of a superstar pop combo. However, they abandoned the musical during the writing process to focus on the songs they had written for the fake folk-pop group.
By 2018, the band had expanded to include members and had released their EP, "I've Got a Few Friends, and I Wish They Were Mine." I'm Not Getting Any Taller was an editor's pick at Atwood Magazine and released in February 2019. Their music video for "Dips" from the album featured Brigette Lundy-Paine, an American actress who Walker and Dugan met at NYU. They opened for the Indigo Girls in March of 2019. They performed for The Wild Honey Pie in April of the same year. They sound like "Regina Spektor, and The Moldy Peaches did a duet against a rising, thrilling orchestra," according to Refinery29.
