Crystal Method Information
The Crystal Method is an electronic music act. Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland formed it in the early 1990s in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both founders were known as pioneers of the big beat genre. The music project has appeared in many advertisements, video games, TV shows, and films. The Crystal Method released its debut studio album, Vegas, on August 26, 1997. In 2007, the album was certified platinum. The release of the album was supported by its four singles such as “Comin’ Back,” “Busy Child,” “Trip Like I Do,” and “Keep Hope Alive.”
The Crystal Method recorded its second studio album in 1999. The album entitled, Tweekend was released on July 31, 2001. It peaked at 32 on the Billboard 200. Many feature artists also appeared on the album, such as Julie Gallios, Ryan “Ryu” Maginn, DJ Swamp, Doug Grean, Scott Weiland, and Tom Morello.
On January 13, 2004, The Crystal Method released its third studio album entitled Legion of Boom. The album peaked at 36 on the Billboard 200. The album sold more than 25,000 copies in its first week. The album was also nominated for the Best Electronic/Dance Album in the 2006 Grammy awards. Divided by Night, the band’s next album, was released on May 12, 2009. The album reached 38 on the Billboard 200. The guest artists featured on the album include Jason Lytle, Emily Haines, Justin Warfield, Meiko, Matisyahu, Peter Hook, and LMFAO. Other studio albums of the band include The Crystal Method (January 14, 2014) and The Trip Home (2018).
