Con Brio Information
Con Brio is an American rock and roll and soul band. The band was formed in 2009 in San Francisco, California. The current lineup consists of Brendan Liu (trumpet), Marcus Stephens (saxophone and woodwinds), Patrick Monaco Glynn (keyboard), Andrew Laubacher (drums), Jonathan Kirchner (bass), Benjamin Andrews (guitar), and Sarah Clarke (vocals). The band was named after the musical direction, which means “with spirit.”
Con Brio is best known for its high-energy R&B and funk sound. In 2010, the band recorded and released an LP entitled The Hip. In 2015, they came up with an EP entitled Kiss the Sun. The band went on their tour of Europe and the United States. After returning from the tour, Con Brio made some changes in its lineup and started working on its first full-length album entitled Paradise. It is a 12-track album that Mario Caldato Jr produced.
Con Brio toured the West Coast after releasing Kiss the Sun on February 3, 2015. The band played their six-song set around the West Coast and then toured the rest of the United States. So far, the most notable performance of the band was at the 2015 Austin City Limits Music Festival. The band earned reviews from the music bloggers there.
