Colter Wall Information
Colter Wall (June 27, 1995) is a Canadian singer, musician, and songwriter. He was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. His next stop was Saskatoon, where he enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan. While at school, he recorded recordings of his songs, and when his first EP came out in 2015, he dropped out to focus on his music full-time. Wall's 2015 EP, Imaginary Appalachia, features seven songs and was recorded in Studio One in Regina, Saskatchewan, with Jason Plumb as producer.
Dave Cobb produced Colter Wall's first self-titled full-length album. It was recorded at Nashville's RCA Studio A. Songs of the Plains, his second studio album, was announced in July 2018 and dropped on October 12, 2018. Wall announced his third studio album, Western Swing & Waltzes and Other Punchy Songs, in June 2020. La Honda Records published the album on August 28, 2020.
Songs by Wall, including a cover of Rex Allen's 1951 classic "Cowpoke," as well as Wall's own "Plain to See Plainsman" and "Sleeping on the Blacktop," are featured in the fourth season of the Paramount series Yellowstone. Before releasing his third studio album, Little Songs, on July 14, 2023, Wall released the songs "Evangelina" and "Coralling the Blues" that same year.
