Coi Leray Information
Coi Leray (May 11, 1997) is an American singer and rapper born in Boston, Massachusetts. She was born to Benzino, a media magnate and rapper with five brothers. After Leray's dad left The Source, his wife and daughter filed for divorce. At the age of 14, she began her musical career. She began rapping in 2011, encouraged by her dad, and published her first two tracks (a collaboration with her brother Taj titled "Bow Down" and a solo effort titled "Rock Back") on YouTube under the name Coi Leray.
Leray released her first single, a cover of A Boogie wit da Hoodie's "D.T.B." called "G.A.N.", on SoundCloud in 2018. Her breakthrough single, "Huddy," and her first mixtape, Everythingcoz, were released that same year (2018). As of late 2018, she was featured alongside LouGotCash on the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack song "Save the Day" by American rapper Ski Mask the Slump God and singer Jacquees.
On January 18, 2019, 1801 Records and Republic Records released her second mixtape, EC2. She released the single "Good Days" in March 2019 and toured with American rapper Trippie Redd in early 2019. She was a guest performer on Trippie Redd's second studio album's single, "Everything BoZ." Her first track, "Better Days," was released in April 2020 and included on the remix of American actress Keke Palmer's single "Sticky," released in May 2020.
