Clinton Fearon Information
Clinton Fearon (January 13, 1951) is a Jamaican musician and reggae singer. She was born in Saint Andrew Parish, Jamaica. St. Catherine, a remote district of Jamaica, swiftly became her new home. The music played at Fearon's local Seventh-day Adventist church significantly impacted him. At 16, he returned to Kingston and formed his first band, The Brothers. Errol Grandison, who first met Fearon through his involvement with The Brothers, swiftly invited him to join The Gladiators instead of David Webber.
After nearly two decades with the same band, Fearon felt creatively stifled by the late 1980s. After the Gladiators' American tour in 1987, Fearon pursued a solo career and relocated to Seattle, Washington. Released in 1989, "Rock Your Bones" was a mediocre hit for his first American endeavor, The Defenders. The band broke up in 1992 after a brief existence.
Fearon rethought his artistic direction in 1994 when he formed The Boogie Brown Band. Fearon's first solo album, "Disturb the Devil," contains the talents of keyboardist Barbara Kennedy, bassist Lamar Lofton, drummer Girt Bolo, and guitarist John Saba. A string of subsequent releases under his newly formed record company, Boogie Brown Productions, followed.
