Chuck Brodsky Information

Chuck Brodsky (May 20, 1960) is a singer, songwriter, and musician born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, currently based in Asheville, North Carolina. Brodsky is known for his political and humorous lyrics. He has written songs regarding baseball that include "Doc Ellis' No-No," "Moe Berg: The Song," and "The Ballad of Eddie Klep." In 2004, Brodsky released an album entitled "Color Came One Day." He took on pollution in his discography "Seven Miles Upwind." It was the destruction of regional culture and independent business by multinational corporations, which he discussed in "Trees Falling."

Brodsky's song entitled "Radio" was featured in the film of the same name. In 2018, he released "Them and Us." Another song by Brodsky entitled "Bill and Annie" was featured in the episode of the podcast called "Welcome to Night Vale," created by Commonplace Books.

Many of his other songs have also appeared in documentaries and films such as on ABC (Good Morning America), PBS, NFL Films, NPR, ESPN. "Moe Berg: The Song" by Brodsky was featured in the film named "Jews and Baseball: An American Love Story" and another song "White & Harry" was featured in the film that was produced by The Philadelphia Phillies regarding the life of Richie Ashburn, "A Baseball Life."

Brodsky worked with a few record labels throughout his career, including Waterbug Records, ChuckBrodsky.com Records, and Red House Records. His notable albums include A Fingerpainter's Murals (1995), Letters in the Dirt (1996), Radio (1998), The Baseball Ballads (2002), and Last of the Old Time (2000).
