Pedro Herrera III (September 5, 1979), better known by his stage name Chingo Bling, is an American producer, rapper, and comedian from Houston, Texas. He is of Mexican descent and attended Peddie School, and later, on a scholarship, he attended a private college prep school in Hightstown, New Jersey. In 2001, Bling graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
Bling started his rapping career with his first mixtape, Duro en la pintura, followed by other mixtapes, including The Air Chingo Mixtape and El Mero Chingon, in 2004. The mixtapes were released via his Independent Record label, Big Chile Enterprises. Bling released his first studio album entitled The Tamale Kingpin, featuring hit records like “Walk like Cleto” and “American Pie”. Running 4 President is another album by Bling released in 2005. Some of his other notable albums are El Chavo del H (2010), Masahouse (2011), “Juan Hunna” (2015), and many more.
As a comedian, Chingo launched a YouTube page and utilized social media as his humor outlet. His first comedy special was “They Can’t Deport Us All” which was co-produced with the MiTu network. It is now successfully streaming on the Netflix platform.
