Cédric DePasquale is a French actor, DJ, and record producer born on June 7, 1979. Cedric Gervais, his stage name, is his most well-known recognition. He received a Grammy Award for producing a remix of Lana Del Rey's "Summertime Sadness" in 2013. Gervais was born in the Bouches-du-Rhône region of France.
Gervais was a permanent DJ at the Le Queen nightclub in Paris. He relocated to Miami Beach's South Beach in 1998. His debut song, "Burning," was published under Ultra Records' You label. Sleaze and Sleaze Industries are two of Gervais' record labels (for physical releases). During the 2000s, he ran the labels, which released progressive and tribal house music.
Gervais released the single "Molly" in April 2012, backed by a raunchy music video. The single was another Pete Tong Essential Tune of the Week, and it was the highest new dance entry in the UK charts, peaking at no. 26, with over 2.5 million views on YouTube for the video. "Molly" debuted at No. 1 on the Buzz and Cool Cuts charts and played Radio One and Sirius throughout the afternoon.
Gervais signed with Interscope Records, a subsidiary of Polydor Records, in October 2014, and Interscope released his new song "Love Again" the following month. Gervais has starred in several films. "Molly" and "Ready or Not," two of Gervais' songs, were included in Michael Bay's 2013 film Pain & Gain.
