Brian Dunne is an American musician born and raised in New York State. From an early age, Dunne was drawn to music. He grabbed the guitar for the first time when he was a teenager. Soon he began to play piano and added his voice to the combo. Dunne loved those songwriters who combine muscular rock and roll with raw and literate self-examination. He joined Boston College in 2007, where he met Sarlo. Soon after the graduation, Dunne shifted to Brooklyn to make music his official career.
Since then, Dunne started crisscrossing the country on tour. He performed hundreds of shows per year, which built up his truly dedicated fan base. In 2015 and 2017, Dunne released a pair of acclaimed albums entitled ‘Songs From The Hive’ and ‘Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements,’ respectively. Both his albums were able to garner frequent airplay on SiriusXM. Soon he began to grab dates with some popular artists such as Cat Power, Dylan LeBlanc, Lee Ann Womack, Rosanne Cash, and a few more. Dunne was also able to secure some high-profile spots on Cayamo and NPR’s Mountain Stage.
During all this growth time, Dunne was in regular touch with his college friend Carlo. Finally, in 2016, Dunne started writing songs like his top sellers. Some of his early demos were shared with Sarlo to invite him to LA for the recording purpose. The songs turned out to be more bold and straightforward than any of Dunne’s discography.
