Braydon Zink Information
Braydon Zink was born in the hamlet of Iliff, Colorado, but he now makes his home in Boerne, Texas. Zink, already on track to become a third-generation lineman, decided to pursue his lifelong interest in country music while in college. His grandmother gave him his first organ at age ten, and he immediately picked up the instrument and began playing classic gospel tunes. When he switched to the trumpet, he was able to further his musical education by studying music notation. Zink saved his allowance and bought his first guitar from Walmart for $30 when he was 11 years old. Zink taught himself how to play by ear using albums of Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash that he found at his grandparents' house.
Sports dominated Zink's high school years, but he never stopped picking up his guitar in his spare time. Zink's severe concussions prevented him from playing sports at the collegiate level. But luck had it that Zink picked up a guitar and began performing and writing his music. Soon after, Zink's career took off, and he began doing shows across northern Colorado. Zink, who had built up a dedicated fan base in Colorado, decided to relocate to Austin, known as the "Live Music Capital of the World."
Zink has made Texas home for the past seven years. To name just a few, he has opened for Travis Tritt, Tracy Byrd, Jack Ingram, the Turnpike Troubadours, Pat Green, Cory Morrow, Randall King, Roger Creager, Johnny Rodriguez, and Hal Ketchum around the state and the Southwestern United States.
