Boy Hits Car is a rock band with a lineup consisting of Erik Peterson (drums), Mike Bartak (guitar), Bill Gower (bass guitar), and Cregg Rondell (twelve-string guitar and vocals). The group first got together in 1993. Following the independent release of their debut album, My Animal, in 1998, the band signed with Wind-up Records, embarked on the Sno-Core Tour and recorded their second album, Boy Hits Car.
Their 2002 song "LoveFuryPassionEnergy" was on the WWF Forceable Entry CD and became the theme song for WWE Hall of Famer Lita. In 2005, a third album titled The Passage was independently released. The group reissued the album in July 2006 after partnering with Rock Ridge Music as their distributor. On their official site, they revealed that their new album's release date was March 15, 2011. Boy Hits Car are touring Europe in support of their latest album, All That Led Us Here, published in May 2014.
In a Reddit AMA held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the self-titled album, Peterson said that 12–13 songs had been written for an upcoming sixth album, the title of which was still up in the air at the time. With a desire to create and perform 'passionately powerful music' with a world-beat/middle eastern feel, Boy Hits Car was formed in 1993.
