Bobby Sessions is a well-known American rapper who hails from Dallas, Texas. He dubbed himself the Dallas Legend, and his debut album, Law Of Attraction, confirmed it. While some may consider this cocky for a rapper who has just released his debut album, Sessions merely declares what he knows he will accomplish as an artist.
Bobby Sessions was born and raised in Pleasant Grove, a largely Black, low-to-lower middle-income neighborhood in the metroplex's southeast. He was in the middle of his formative years. After a few years, Bobby and his family moved to Rowlett, a suburb 20 miles northeast.
Bobby Sessions teamed up with industry veterans Vince Chapa and Jeremy "J Dot" Jones to release his first label-backed project, LOA (Law Of Attraction), in late 2015. The project was generally praised as thought-provoking, bar-raising, and a perfect introduction for a still-unknown Dallas act whose lead tune Black America had Source, XXL, and other media outlets contorting necks that summer.
Bobby Sessions released Rvltn (Chapter 1): The Divided States of AmeriKKKa, his debut EP under Def Jam Recordings, on Friday, July 20, 2018. Killer Mike and Zyah and producers Sikwitit, Anthm, and Brown Royal contribute to the project, which includes the previously released singles "Like Me" and "Pick a Side."
