Blue Summit Information
Blue Summit is an American bluegrass band that is led by songwriter, mandolinist, and singer AJ Lee. He has been the darling of North Bay, California bluegrass since first appearing in Santa Cruz. The group members are drawn from influences such as rock, soul, country, jazz, blues, folk, and swing. The band’s undeniable talent, as well as an insatiable passion for bluegrass, harks back to traditional classics while remaining uniquely modern.
Blue Summit has performed all around the United States as well as in the United Kingdom, France, and Ireland. The Blue Summit came out with their debut album entitled “Like I Used To” that consisted entirely of AJ’s original songs. The band has three other members, including Jesse Fichman, Sullivan Tuttle, Jan Purat, and Chad Bowen.
Jesse Fichman of Blue Summit started playing guitar at the age of 10. He has played in multiple bluegrass bands since he has started his career. Fichman is a full time and original member of the Blue Summit band. He also writes and studies music on the side.
Sullivan Tuttle, a guitarist, began playing guitar at the age of 7. He has developed his reputation due to a rich and deep singing voice. Chad Bowen has been a significant part of the Blue Summit since May 2018 and has always admired bluegrass music. He grew up playing guitar and piano as well as singing in choirs. The last member of the band, Jan Purat, started to play the violin at the age of seven and is a valuable member of the band.
