Big Pooh Information
Big Pooh (February 12, 1980) is an American rapper. He was born in Fairfax County, Virginia. Big Pooh was discovered by Beni B of ABB Records. All the major record companies had been after him for close to a year. After much deliberation, he ultimately decided to join Atlantic. Pooh was featured on the DJ Mick Boogie-mixed, downloadable Little Brother compilation album "And Justus for All," which was made available in 2007.
In 2009, he dropped a new "street" album titled The Delightful Bars, with four variants available (including a 13-song "Candy Apple" edition available exclusively on iTunes). Each variant's cover image depicted a different naked lady covered in candy. The ladies of Pooh's village gather around him as he prepares ingredients, bakes, and packages "Delightful Bars" candy bars in the kitchen setting of the music video for "The Comeback," the album's first single.
Pooh inked a two-album deal with Mello Music Group, the independent label that also represents artists including Oddisee and Kenn Starr, in January 2014. The first project will be an EP featuring production from the label's production roster, while the second will be an album produced in its entirety by Virginia producer Nottz.
