Beanie Sigel Information
Dwight Equan Grant (March 6, 1974) is a Muslim-American rapper and actor better known by his stage name Beanie Sigel. Born in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he plays hip-hop. He first became known due to his association with Jay Z and Roc-A-Fella Records. Sigel released his debut studio album in 20000 entitled The Truth via Roc-A-Fella to critical and commercial success.
The Reason was the second studio album by Sigel that was released in 2001. This album saw similar commercial success along with mixed reviews. The third album by Sigel was The B. Coming, released in 2005, which peaked at number three on the Billboard 200. Sigel took a short break from music after his third album and returned to Roc-A-Fella in 2007, releasing The Solution in December.
Sigel left Roc-A-Fella and released his fifth and sixth studio albums, The Broad Street Bully and This Time. The albums were released independently in 2009 and 2012, respectively. A few of his collaboration albums include State Property OST (with State Property) (2002), The Chain Gang Vol. 2 (with State Property) (2003), and The Roc Boys (with Freeway) (2010).
Sigel has also appeared in the famous documentary Backstage. State Property was the first movie in which Sigel played a leading role. He was also seen in the 2002 film Paper Soldiers, the 2011 film Rhyme and Punishment, and a few others.
