Aurora Information
Aurora Aksnes (June 15, 1996) is a Norwegian musician, singer, and record producer who goes by the mononymous name Aurora. At the age of six, she started learning dance and penning her first songs. She was born in Stavanger and grew up in Høle and Os. Generally well-received, Aurora's 2016 first studio album, All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend, reached the top of the European album charts and was certified double platinum in Norway.
Vocals described as "ethereal" are characteristic of her electropop, folk, and art pop songs. She started solely on piano, but she eventually branched out into percussion and other areas of music creation. Girls, Frozen II, Wolfwalkers, and the live-action One Piece series on Netflix are just a few of the films, TV shows, and video game titles that she has scored.
Aurora released "My Sails Are Set" on August 25, 2023, as part of the live-action anime One Piece soundtrack. Aurora announced the release of her fourth studio album, What Happened to the Heart?, on June 7, 2024, via an Instagram post. On May 24, 2024, Aurora was featured on the song "liMOusine" by Bring Me The Horizon from their album POST HUMAN: NeX GEn.
