Ashlyn Rae Wilson (April 24, 1993) is an American singer and songwriter. She is better known as Ashe. She was born in San Jose, California. Ashe is well-known for her 2019 single entitled “Moral of the Story.” She began to attend piano and vocal lessons at the age of 8. She used to listen to Jefferson Airplane, The Beatles, and Bob Dylan while growing up. Ashe went to Berklee College of Music and completed her graduation with a major in contemporary writing and production in 2015. She first started her musical career by singing demos in Nashville. Ashe soon caught the attention of Ben Phipps, a Swedish, deep house producer.
In June 2018, Ashe released her debut EP, The Rabbit Hole. She has also clocked over 200 million streams cumulatively, and there are nine number 1 songs she released on Hype Machine. She released the four-track EP, Moral of the Story: Chapter 1, on April 5, 2019. Finneas O’Connell entirely produced the EP. Her single “Moral of the Story” was used in the popular Netflix teen rom-com To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.
On May 7, 2021, Ashe released her debut album, Ashlyn, through the Mom+ Pop record label. The album debuted at 194 on the Billboard 200 on the very next day of its release. As a lead artist, Ashe has released many notable singles throughout her career, including “Used to It,” “Girl Who Cried Wolf,” “In Disguise,” and “Cold in California.”
