Arlo McKinley is a country singer and songwriter born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has two albums, the most recent being 2020's Die Midwestern, published on John Prine's Oh Boy Records label. The family choir at Bethlehem United Baptist Church was where he made his musical debut when he was just eight. John Prine and his son Jody Whelan closed out their indie record label, Oh Boy Records, with the signing of singer-songwriter Arlo McKinley. McKinley has opened shows for a wide variety of artists, including Tyler Childers, Jason Isbell, Justin Townes Earle, John Moreland, Jamey Johnson, and more.
McKinley's debut album, Arlo McKinley & The Lonesome Sound, came out in 2014. McKinley made his debut on Oh Boy Records with the release of his second studio album, Die Midwestern, on August 14, 2020. This album was produced by Grammy winner Matt Ross-Spang and featured the talents of musicians Ken Coomer (Wilco), Rick Steff (Hank Williams Jr.), Reba Russell (Johnny Cash), Will Sexton, David Smith, and Jessie Munson.
