Angele Van Laeken (December 3, 1995) is a Belgian actress, record producer, pianist, singer, and songwriter. She was born in Uccle, Brussels, Belgium. Some of Angèle's earliest acts took place in local Brussels cafes. , most notably at the defunct Le Delecta eatery in Ixelles. She first gained attention with her humorous and musical Instagram videos. In 2017, she opened for Ibeyi and joined Belgian rapper Damso on his album Lithopédion.
Her debut song, 2017's "La Loi de Murphy," has been viewed millions of times on YouTube. Early in 2018, a second song titled "Je veux tes yeux" was released. Belgian photographer Charlotte Abramow produced both short films.
She covered MC Solaar's "Victime de la mode" at her first Parisian performance in May 2018 at the Trianon. The Belgian, French, and Swiss summer events Les Ardentes, Dour, Garorock, and Rock Werchter all featured her performances. Angèle's third song, "La Thune," was released in 2018.
The songs that would appear on her debut album, Brol, released by Initial in August 2018, were revealed then. The album and the song she recorded with her brother, Roméo Elvis, came out on October 5, 2018. Due to the success of this album, Angèle was invited to appear on several French television programs.
