Amine Information
Born on April 18, 1994, Adam Amine Daniel are an American recording artist, composer, and rapper from Woodlawn, Portland, Oregon. After finishing high school at Benson Polytechnic, Aminé enrolled at Portland State University to study marketing but eventually left to focus on his music career. In college, Aminé interned for the hip-hop magazine Complex.
With the release of his first mixtape, Odyssey to Me, on January 17, 2014, Aminé officially launched his music career. In addition, Aminé released his first extended play, En Vogue, on September 4, 2014. A second mixtape by Aminé, titled Calling Bro, was released on August 31, 2015.
Aminé's first song, "Caroline," came out on March 9, 2016. On June 1, 2016, Aminé uploaded a self-directed music video for "Caroline" on his Vevo channel on YouTube. On the US Billboard Hot 100, the song debuted at number 96 and eventually peaked at number 11. The RIAA certified the song triple platinum in June 2017.
Aminé signed with Republic Records in August of 2016. Following the success of "Caroline," on November 4, 2016, Aminé released his second song under Republic Records, titled "Baba." Aminé's "Caroline" was featured on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 15, 2016, with a performance by the artist.
