Alicia Roanne Witt is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and pianist from Worcester, Massachusetts. She has been defined as a child prodigy and first gained fame after being discovered by David Lynch as a child actress when she was cast as Alia Atreides in his film Dune (1984). At the age of five, she recited Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet on the show That's Incredible! which impressed Lynch.
Witt made an appearance in an episode of Twin Peaks in which she played the younger sister of Lara Flynn Boyle's character, Donna. Later on, Witt enjoyed small roles in Mike Figgis' Liebestraum (1991), the Gen-X drama Bodies, Rest & Motion (1993), and many more. She received a Special Jury Recognition Award at the Sundance Festival for her work in the film Fun, where she had the lead role playing a disturbed, murderous teenager.

Demented, Vanilla Sky, American Girl, Two Weeks Notice, The Upside of Anger, 88 Minutes, The Flight of the Swan, A Madea Christmas, Six LA Love Stories, Mississippi Requiem, and I Care a Lot. On television, she appeared in The Disappearance of Vonnie, Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and many more. She won Film Discovery Jury Award for Best Actor at The Comedy Festival, Gijón International Film Festival awards for Best Actress, and many nominations.
