Alfie Boe Information
Alfie Boe (September 29, 1973) is an English actor and tenor. He was born in Fleetwood, Lancashire. At the Queen's Theatre in London, at the 25th Anniversary Concert, in the 2014 Broadway revival, and the All-Star Staged Concert, he stole the show as Jean Valjean in the musical Les Misérables.
On Broadway, his run as Peter Pan in Finding Neverland began on March 29, 2016. Boe also won a Tony in 2003 for her part in the revival of La bohème directed by Baz Luhrmann. More than a million of his CDs have been sold in the UK alone.
When Boe was 14, he performed in a "Songs from the Shows" concert at Fleetwood's Marine Hall, directed by the influential local singing teacher Lottie Dawson. Despite simply singing a few lines, he felt quite anxious, he added. Upon relocating to London, Boe enrolled in the Royal College of Music and the Royal Opera House's Vilar Young Artists Programme to hone his vocal skills.
He was included on two albums by the Clint Boon Experience, led by the former organist of the Inspiral Carpets, in 1999 and 2000. In 1999, he played Ernesto in a traveling production of Don Pasquale by Scottish Opera's Opera-Go-Round series.
